Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about TheZevaro
About Our Jewellery
What gold purity options do you offer?
We offer gold jewellery in 22 Karat (91.6% pure gold, the most popular for jewellery in India) and 18 Karat (75% pure gold, preferred for diamond-set pieces). All our gold jewellery is BIS-hallmarked, guaranteeing the purity you pay for.
What is a BIS Hallmark and why does it matter?
BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) Hallmarking is a quality-certification system mandated by the Government of India. A hallmarked piece carries a unique HUID (Hallmark Unique Identification) number that verifies its gold purity. At TheZevaro, every gold ornament is hallmarked so you can buy with complete confidence.
What purity is your silver jewellery?
Our silver jewellery is made from 92.5% pure sterling silver (also marked as "925"). This is the internationally recognised standard for jewellery-grade silver, offering an excellent balance of purity, strength, and lasting shine.
Are your diamonds certified?
Yes. Our diamonds are sourced from reputable suppliers and accompanied by certificates from internationally recognised grading laboratories (GIA/IGI). Each certificate details the 4 Cs — Cut, Colour, Clarity, and Carat — so you know exactly what you are purchasing.
Do you use synthetic or natural gemstones?
We primarily use natural gemstones. Where lab-grown alternatives are available, we clearly label them as such and price them accordingly. We believe in full transparency so our customers can make informed choices.
Pricing & Making Charges
What are making charges?
Making charges (also called crafting or labour charges) are the artisan fees added on top of the raw metal value to cover the skill and time involved in crafting the jewellery. They are typically expressed as a percentage of the gold value or as a flat rupee-per-gram rate, and they vary by design complexity.
Why are TheZevaro's making charges competitive?
We work directly with skilled craftsmen and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, cutting out unnecessary middlemen. This efficiency lets us pass the savings on to you without compromising on craftsmanship or quality.
How is the final gold price calculated?
Final price = (Weight in grams × Today's gold rate per gram) + Making charges + GST (3% on gold). We display live gold rates in-store and are always happy to explain the full breakup before you decide.
Are prices negotiable?
The gold rate is market-linked and fixed each day by the bullion market. However, we regularly run seasonal offers and loyalty benefits. For large purchases such as bridal sets, our team is happy to discuss the best package for you.
Ordering & Shopping
How can I place an order?
You can visit our store in Karnal, reach us on WhatsApp at +91 85955 18614, or send an enquiry through our Contact page. Our team will share a curated selection based on your preferences, budget, and occasion.
Can I get a piece custom-designed?
Absolutely. Custom design is one of our specialities. Share your inspiration — a photograph, a sketch, or even just a description — and our designers will create a 3D CAD preview for your approval before production begins. Typical custom orders take 10–15 working days.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major debit/credit cards, UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), NEFT/RTGS bank transfers, and select EMI options via partner banks. For large purchases, we recommend calling ahead so we can prepare.
Do you offer home delivery?
Yes. We offer insured doorstep delivery within Karnal and surrounding areas in Haryana. For outstation orders, we ship via reputed courier partners with full insurance and real-time tracking. Shipping charges, if any, are communicated at the time of order.
Is it safe to buy jewellery online / via WhatsApp?
We take every precaution to make remote purchasing safe. You receive a detailed invoice, hallmark certificate, and gemstone certificate (where applicable) with every shipment. Payment is collected only after you confirm the design and price.
Care & Maintenance
How do I care for my gold jewellery?
Store gold jewellery in a soft cloth pouch or a lined jewellery box to prevent scratching. Remove pieces before swimming, bathing, or applying perfume and lotion. Clean gently with a soft, lint-free cloth. For a deeper clean, use mild soap and warm water, then pat dry — never rub vigorously.
How should I care for silver jewellery?
Silver tarnishes naturally when exposed to air and moisture. Store silver in an airtight zip-lock bag when not in use. Clean with a silver-polishing cloth or a paste of baking soda and water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Wearing your silver jewellery regularly actually helps keep it bright.
How do I maintain my diamond jewellery?
Diamonds attract grease from skin and lotions, which dulls their sparkle. Clean your diamond pieces weekly by soaking in warm water with a drop of dish soap for 20–30 minutes, then gently scrubbing with a soft toothbrush. Rinse well and dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for pieces with delicate settings.
Does TheZevaro offer a warranty or free cleaning service?
All our jewellery comes with a one-year craftsmanship warranty against manufacturing defects. We also offer complimentary cleaning and polishing for the lifetime of the piece — simply bring it into our store.
